4 weeks

From today there are only 4 puny little weeks until I am halfway around the world, being launched - make that catapulted - into the unknown. Argh!

I have just received my host family, the Gades. Henrik, Mette, Victor (11) and Mathilde (9) and dog.
I am so excited to have younger bro and sis. A dream come true. I know I know, "just you wait and see" they all say, "little siblings are a handful!" Well, I can't wait. Growing up an only child and the youngest of my entire extended family has had its good bits... but sometimes I wish I had some kiddies to run around with and wake me up at two in the morning on christmas.

Danish.. Many of the words sound like they have a 16 and a half marshmallows stuffed in their mouth. Maybe I should carry a bag of them around with me? I'm determined to learn it.

Things to do: Make a NZ scrapbook, organize final appointments, get the mysterious lump under my arm checked, write some thank you letters, learn more danish and practice how I'm going to wear the 10kgs of clothes I can't fit in my bag.

There's so much going through my head. My wise old friend Lucy told me no matter what you see and are told, you can never really prepare for something like this. But you still have to try.
